His expertise includes patent application preparation and prosecution (both international and domestic), design patents (including computer-generated icons), infringement opinions, Ex Parte reexaminations, patentability opinions, and freedom to operate opinions. Additionally, Luis provides strategic counsel to clients on intellectual property disputes and guides inventors throughout the patent process.

Mr. Garcia possesses in-depth patent preparation and prosecution experience across a broad spectrum of technologies, including wireless communications (including 3GPP standards), digital communications, internet of things (IoT), premises alarm systems, electronic article surveillance (EAS) systems, augmented reality devices, digital signal processing, cloud security management, data anonymization systems, anomaly detection systems, encryption systems, business methods, learning systems, medical devices, mechanical devices, rotary engines, gas turbines, and construction systems.

Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Garcia served as a Patent Examiner in the Optical Communications Art Unit at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
